Sweet orange or orange essential oils have a historical and spiritual background. Its Latin name is Citrus Sinenis. The Citrus blossoms were protected foods for only the Greek and Roman gods.
Orange essential oil is cold pressed from the outer peel of the common orange. A citrusy and tart aroma it uplifts your emotions and calms away your stress. The therapeutic compounds in orange rinds are Limonene and Myrcene. Limonene, especially, is a powerful antioxidant and great inflammatory fighter.

Using Orange Essential Oil

-Boosts digestion; you can add 1-2 drops of oil to water to ingest or even apply 2 drops to your abdominal area to aid digestion. You can even add to recipes for a great orange flavor.
-It encourages lymph drainage. Dilute 2-4 drops with coconut oil and rub on lymph nodes to help remove toxins.
-Adds a fresh citrus scent and fights bacteria by using as a natural household cleaner. Just add a couple orange oil drops to water in a spray bottle. Shake well and spray, then wipe down.
Do avoid direct sun on skin for about 10 hours after applying. Orange oil causes skin reactions to sensitive individuals.
