Comforting Aroma’s to Calm the Mind, Body and Spirit

In Chinese medicine, sage is used to strengthen the kidneys, adrenals and reproductive organs.

Ancient Egyptian text tells us of Lavender (or Spikenard) most famous usage was by Mary washing and anointing feet of Jesus.

Ylang ylang aids in releasing the negative emotions of anger, frustration, jealousy or low self-esteem.

Oriental medicine uses Ylang ylang for its calming and therapeutic effects on the heart.

 

Petitgrain

Petitgrain is a citrus EO made from leaves and young twigs of the orange tree by steam distillation.

It was also extracted from green or very young oranges like the size of peas, so the name became Petitgrain.

This oil is used in many cosmetic and perfume industries and used as a flavoring in food and beverage companies.

Petitgrain oil reduces anxiety and stress, uplifts moods and induces more positive outlooks.

It is a nervine, soothing and relaxing nerves and strengthening the nervous system. Also, it acts like an antispasmodic, relaxing your tissues, muscles, and nerves.

 

How to Use these Aromatic Essential Oils

  • Massage a blend of your EO choice with a carrier oil like coconut, argan or marula and rub on back of the neck, feet, temples or behind the ears.
  • Use a Diffuser in your room or inhaling oil on a tissue.
  • You can rub on small cuts or bites and abdominal area to balance hormones.
