Slow Aging and Improve Your Life

Slow Aging and Improve Your Life

The “Fountain of Youth” has been hunted for many thousands of years. Most of us realize now that it is a myth.

Today studies show the real way to impact our health and our age is by our lifestyle.

It is true that food, nutrition, exercise and brain health can slow down those aging factors; and give us more energy and a boost to life.

Aging does make us more susceptible to chronic diseases like Diabetes, Obesity, Heart issues, Arthritis and Alzheimer’s. What a list; OK, I know you have heard this before but our eating habits and stress-filled lives do increase your risk of these yucky diseases.

But wait…..You can be in control of this outcome!

Anti-Aging Lifestyle Recommendations

Yes, diet does help, it’s true, I know it’s hard to change, we are so busy with jobs, family, and life itself.

First, instead of overhauling your whole diet immediately, which is overwhelming, start by improving one food at a time.

  • Increase your intake of vegetables by decreasing you processed/prepared foods, try this for 2 meals/day (prepared and processed means bread, pastries, and boxed products with bad additives like fats and sugars).
  • Decrease your sugary soft drinks or pop/soda and alcohol slowly eliminating the sugary drinks to only 1-2/week. Replace with tea or water with only citrus/cucumber or watermelon slices. (optional is to add some real honey)

Just these two steps can make a big difference in how you feel and decrease your disease risk by half.

Second, do some form of exercise, if you do any now then try to increase your amount of time or try something new. Start with a simple, easy exercise plan, like walking, biking, yoga or strength training.

Recommended Anti-Aging Products and Supplements

From the food we eat to the way we wash our face, our external skin to our internal organs all of it can affect our age.

  1. Use a good skincare routine: Vitamin A and Vitamin E helps with wrinkles, make sure you stay hydrated, Omega 3 healthy fats are great for skin, they absorb well and renew cells, giving skin a radiant glow. Aloe vera can help with skin irritation or rashes.
  2. Prioritize Gut health, if you improve your digestion it shows on the outside, skin reflects inside health. Restore healthy gut bacteria with good probiotics
  3. Stop inflammation, over time it degrades skins elastin and collagen making it look dry and weathered. Try adding Vitamin C or citrus which helps collagen. Try Turmeric products to slow down inflammation and pain.
  4. Use sunscreen for UV protection. CoQ10 can decrease sun damage and reduce the depth of wrinkles.
  5. Sleep to restore your brain health. Try diffusing Lemongrass or Lavender Essential oils in your bedroom.

When you apply these recommendations along with a good healthy diet you will see the most impact externally on your skin and feel so much better internally; you will feel like a New You!
