Everyone these days are so busy, between work, family, school and life in general.
We seem to forget how to stop and breathe, to relax and de-stress.
My suggestions are to stop, sit and relax, have a cup of tea. Perhaps take a soothing warm bath with Essential oils (EO). Or take an extra hour and get a massage. If money is tight then ask a family member if, “you massage me then I’ll massage you”, will work for them!
Here are some blends to use:
In the bath blend lavender, ylang ylang, and mix in a few cups of Epsom salts. Between the EO and the salts which are high in magnesium, your muscles and spirits will relax and be lifted. You will even be able to sleep better.
When you are stressed out your adrenal glands slow down and need rejuvenating. Try a blend of oils:
2 drops of rosemary EO
4 drops of peppermint EO
4 drops of clary sage EO
15 drops of jojoba oil
Blend together and rub the mix onto your back above the kidney up to 3 times a day. If you can find a roll-on glass bottle it makes it easier to spread on skin. This will help your adrenals to function better and decrease your stress level.
Try a foot massage, sort of like reflexology. There are over 7,200 nerve endings in the foot; by stimulating these nerves it can affect many organs and muscles in the body.
The human body responds to touch and facilitates restoration back to normal health.
It is easier to have someone massage your feet for you. There are several methods for massaging the foot: start with the sole and then top of foot; go in circles, use your knuckles and thumbs in the center and ball of the foot.
Don’t forget the little tootsies either …they all are connected to different parts of the body.
Use a blend of essential oils; start with Frankincense, ginger, peppermint and blend with a carrier oil to rub onto feet or skin.
Now try to RELAX.
