You already know what green tea does in a cup.

This is the same plant, pressed instead of brewed. Camellia sinensis — the tea plant, the actual one. Almost everything sold as green tea skincare uses an extract of its leaves in a water base. Far fewer people bother with the seeds, which is a shame, because the seeds are where the oil is.

Ours is cold pressed and left unrefined, so it arrives the color it was when it left the press: pale gold with a green cast, and a faint clean scent of nothing much at all. No fragrance is added because none is needed, and nothing is blended in to make it go further.

On skin it is light. Lighter than you expect an oil to be. It sinks in instead of sitting on top, which is why people who decided face oils were not for them tend to get along with this one. Three or four drops after cleansing is the whole ritual.

It is just as good everywhere else — worked through dry ends, massaged into a scalp, run over cuticles, or used as the carrier base for whatever you are making. If you formulate, you already know why a clean single-origin oil with nothing in it is worth keeping on the shelf.

How to use

FACE
Three to four drops on clean, slightly damp skin, morning or night. Press in with your palms rather than rubbing. Layer over your moisturizer to finish, or use it alone.

HAIR
A pump warmed between your palms, worked through the mid-lengths and ends. For scalp, apply and massage before you wash.

BODY AND HANDS
Cuticles, elbows, anywhere dry. Good as a massage oil.

DIY
Use it as a carrier at any ratio. Blends cleanly into creams, lotions, balms, serums and cold process soap.
